One of the longest-running instant swap platforms, with fixed and floating rates and identity verification that applies above volume thresholds or on flagged transactions.
Our assessment
Changelly is among the best known names in instant swaps and appears in nearly every list of no-KYC exchanges. That framing is misleading: identity verification applies to swaps above volume thresholds or that trigger compliance flags, which is a materially different product from one that never asks.
Reputation and reality do not match here
Being repeatedly listed as no-KYC creates an expectation that funds will move without questions. When a threshold is crossed or an address is flagged, the swap stops and documents are requested — often after the deposit has arrived. Knowing this in advance is the difference between a delay and a crisis, and it is the single most useful thing to say about this service.
Longevity counts for something
Changelly has operated through multiple market cycles, which in a category populated by services that appear and vanish is genuine evidence. A long-lived operator has more to lose from taking a user's deposit than a six-month-old brand does, and that asymmetry is most of what protects you here.
Rates and how to read them
Fixed and floating rates are offered as usual, and the revenue is in the spread rather than a stated commission. Compare the amount received rather than the advertised fee, and treat the fixed rate as insurance against slow confirmation rather than as a worse deal.
Who it suits
Changelly fits users who want an established operator and are prepared to verify identity if a swap is flagged. Users specifically seeking to avoid verification should not choose this one on its reputation — check the current thresholds first.
Frequently asked
Does this score mean Changelly is trustworthy?
No. It measures what is published and reachable before use: the service, its terms and its documentation. Custody, routing and corporate structure are not tested by us.
Why do all providers score zero on corporate entity?
Because this class of service rarely publishes it. The indicator is identical for every provider in the category, so the comparison stays fair.
Are rates or spreads compared here?
No. Verifying quoted rates requires live transactions, which we do not perform. The rubric covers disclosure, not execution.
