Privacy policy
What Crypto Almanac Daily collects, what it does not, how cookie consent works and how to make a data request. Deliberately minimal.
This policy describes what this site collects and what it does not. It is short because the site collects very little, and it describes what is actually implemented rather than what a template would assume.
No account, no profile
There is no login, no user account and no profile. Reading this site does not require identifying yourself, and we do not build a profile of what you read. Nothing on the site requires you to submit personal information in order to access content.
Analytics
The site is built to support a Google Analytics tag, and the tag is not configured, so no analytics script is served and no analytics identifiers are set. Should that change, this policy will be updated before the tag is enabled, and analytics will remain subject to the consent choice described below.
Cookies and local storage
The site stores a single value in your browser's local storage recording your response to the cookie banner. That value exists so the banner does not reappear on every visit. It is not an identifier, it is not transmitted to us, and clearing your browser storage removes it. Our cookie policy describes this in more detail.
No mailing list
There is no newsletter and no signup form. We do not collect email addresses for marketing, we operate no mailing list, and there is no subscriber database to leak, sell or hand over. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before any address is collected and the form itself will state what happens to it.
Server logs and infrastructure
Requests to this site pass through a content delivery network and a web server, which process technical data such as IP address, user agent and requested URL in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. That processing is operational rather than analytical, and we do not use it to identify individuals or build profiles.
Third-party content
Some pages embed a third-party charting widget and load market data from external providers. Those requests reach the third party directly and are governed by that party's own privacy terms. We do not pass any personal information to them, and we cannot control what their own scripts collect on their domains.
Your requests
Because we operate no accounts and store no personal records, there is generally nothing held about you to access, correct or delete. If you believe otherwise, or want to ask what a specific interaction involved, write to the desk address and we will answer directly.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since we collect no personal information from any reader, this follows from the design rather than from a promise.
Frequently asked
Does this site track me?
No analytics tag is configured, so no analytics script is served and no analytics identifiers are set. The only browser storage used is a single value recording your cookie banner choice.
Do you collect email addresses?
No. There is no newsletter, no signup form and no mailing list. We hold no subscriber database of any kind.
Do you need my consent for cookies?
The banner records your choice in local storage so it does not reappear. No tracking cookies are set regardless of the choice, because no analytics tag is currently configured.
How do I make a data request?
Write to the desk address. Since there are no accounts and no stored personal records, there is generally nothing held about you, and we will confirm that directly.
