Cookie policy

What this site stores in your browser: a single consent value in local storage, plus what third-party embeds may set on their own domains.

This policy describes what this site places in your browser. The honest summary is that it is one value, and that value is not a tracker.

The one thing we store

When you respond to the cookie banner, your choice is recorded in your browser's local storage under a single key. It exists so the banner does not reappear on every page. It contains no identifier, is never transmitted to our servers, and cannot be used to recognise you across sites or sessions on other domains.

A cookie is sent to the server with every request. Local storage stays in your browser and is never transmitted. For a value whose only purpose is remembering a banner choice, storing it where it never leaves your device is the more private option, and it is why the site uses it.

Analytics cookies

No analytics tag is configured on this site, so no analytics cookies or identifiers are set. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any analytics script is served, and analytics will be gated behind the consent choice rather than enabled by default.

Third-party embeds

Some pages embed a third-party charting widget. When that widget loads, the third party may set its own cookies or storage on its own domain under its own terms. We do not control that and we do not receive anything from it. Blocking third-party storage in your browser prevents it, at the cost of the chart not rendering.

Service worker

The site registers a service worker to cache pages for faster repeat visits and basic offline resilience. It stores page and asset copies in your browser's cache, contains no personal information and is not used to identify you. Clearing site data removes it.

Controlling what is stored

Clearing your browser's site data for this domain removes the consent value, the service worker cache and anything a third-party embed has set. Declining non-essential storage in the banner changes nothing about what we set, because we set nothing beyond the consent value itself — the choice exists so that it remains recorded if analytics are ever introduced.

Frequently asked

What cookies does this site set?

None of its own. The only value stored is a single local storage entry recording your cookie banner choice, which is never transmitted to our servers.

Why is there a banner if you set no tracking cookies?

So your preference is recorded now and honoured if analytics are introduced later. The banner choice is stored locally and nothing else changes.

Can third parties set cookies here?

An embedded charting widget may set storage on its own domain under its own terms. Blocking third-party storage prevents it, and the chart will not render.

How do I remove everything this site stored?

Clear your browser's site data for this domain. That removes the consent value, the service worker cache and anything an embed has set.
